| General Description|
The Director of Preschool Ministries is responsible for all aspects of implementing and operating a developmentally appropriate and Christ-centered preschool program for children ages 18 months through pre-kindergarten. Responsibilities include staff recruitment,,development and evaluation, child enrollment processing, academic and Christian curriculum development, classroom management, marketing, community networking, and preschool budgeting. Candidates must pay attention to detail as well as provide visionary leadership. They should demonstrate strong leadership skills, an eagerness and ability to work well with others, a solid work ethic, a passion for ministering to preschoolers and their families, and the ability to function as a diplomatic and unbiased administrator. The Director will work closely with the Discipleship/Young Families Pastor and Children's Director at The Lakeway Church (TLC) to support church-wide programming for young families.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
Committed Christian with a strong foundation and knowledge of the Bible and principles of Christian discipleship
Consistent spiritual and moral character and lifestyle that reflects Christ
Personal beliefs and actions consistent with the core beliefs and vision of TLC
Enthusiastic, positive personality with an ability to work well with TLC/LCCP staff and families
Ability to meet and maintain the Texas Department of Family & Protective Services licensing requirements, including qualifications for a Licensed Child Care Center Director/Administrator (or ability to obtain such qualifications within 2 weeks of hire)
Strong team leader with good communication and conflict management skills.
Active role in TLC ministries & events
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education with Early Childhood endorsement/certification or Children's Religious Education from an accredited seminary or university
Experience working in a licensed church preschool
Two years of experience in preschool education or Christian discipleship
Two years of experience in a supervisory role
