Mineral Baptist Church, in Mineral, Virginia, seeks a full-time Minister of Music. Mineral Baptist Church has for many years enjoyed an excellent music program and has been led to expand that ministry to the next level and beyond. Mineral is located in north-central Virginia, 10 minutes from Lake Anna and 45 minutes from Richmond, Charlottesville, and Fredericksburg. Sunday morning attendance averages 350 in two services: a blended service and a praise and worship service. Aptitude and passion for a variety of music and worship styles are required. Experience in leading an adult choir is necessary. The applicant must be able to express a calling to ministry and demonstrate a passion for serving God through music. Proven leadership and organizational skills are extremenly important. The Minister of Music will be directed by the Senior Pastor and given every opportunity to demonstrate initiative, imagination, and creativity. This position requires the incumbent to establish and execute a budget for the music ministry. Applicants must demonstrate an ability to lead and/or oversee the current music program which includes an adult choir, a praise team, a gospel group and a children's choir. There exists an excellent opportunity to grow the music ministry well beyond its curent level. Mineral Baptist Church has just completed a major family life center building program and our new sanctuary was completed in 2000. Our youth programs have grown very rapidly in the last five years and we have a very active Awanas and Upward Youth Sports Program. Our Senior Pastor holds a PhD in Family Counseling and we also have an affiliated Christian Preschool located on our campus. Our Wednesday evening fellowship includes dinner, numerous youth programs and several adult Bible Studies. Our worship community is in a rural setting and our church has been richly blessed by God.
