Christ Church is a 500 member historic Episcopal congregation in Stevensville, MD, a highly desirable, thriving, and growing community on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay. We are seeking an innovative Music Director/Organist with the diversity, creativity, and vision to build and grow our music ministry, encouraging new talent and blending the best of traditional and contemporary spiritual music.
We have a 16-member adult choir, a nascent instrumental ensemble, and an active youth program with tremendous potential for musical growth. Our large new sanctuary has outstanding acoustics, perfect for performance and for musical lessons. The successful candidate must have the ability to grow our music program by drawing on untapped talents of all ages from both within the congregation and the surrounding community. The directions in which it grows whether via contemporary ensemble, youth choirs, and more will be limited only by the vision and energy of the Music Director.
