Job Description:
Duties: Recruit and equip persons for the music ministry. Establish standards for worship and activities; oversee evaluation of those standards to identify progress in achieving vision. Develop long-range worship plan. Oversee administrative duties of ministry, working closely with Sr Pastor, worship team, tech crew, and other personnel. Create weekly worship service plan. Create worship culture and opportunities for youth to get involved in worship. Scehdule and lead practices and events as needed. Select music. Direct tech aspects of sound, lighting, video, etc. affecting worship service.
Qualifications: Spiritual maturity and commitment to a Christian lifestyle. Ability to shepherd volunteer musicians. Organization, adminiustrative, and leadership skills. Ability to motiviate musicians and tech team. Dependable, responsibile, self-motivated and creative. Experience with technical aspects of contemporary services.
Education and/or Experience: Background in College level musical studies; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Skills and Abilites: Exhibit a passion for God and a Christ-like spirit evidenced in his personal life, his family relationships and his ministry.
